What does hybrid mean, and why are you mixing clay and wax?
- Hybrid means that it’s a mix of styling clays and waxes, and therefore their benefits, too. Kaolin clay helps provide structure, while Carnauba and Candelilla wax (our plant-based alternatives to petrolatum) help create a strong hold without the excessive stickiness.
How long-lasting is the Firm Hybrid Clay?
- The Firm Hybrid Clay is designed to last all day, but it can also be reapplied if needed. In a user trial, 100% of participants found that it provided a long-lasting hold.
Will it make my hair look greasy and weighed-down?
- The Kaolin Clay used in the Firm Hybrid Clay is excellent at absorbing excess oil. So when used correctly, it shouldn’t make your hair look greasy or weighed-down.
How easy is it to apply the Firm Hybrid Clay?

Does the Firm Hybrid Clay contain any fragrances, sulphates, silicones, or parabens?
- No, it doesn’t contain any of the above.
Is the Firm Hybrid Clay allergen-free?
- The Firm Hybrid Clay is free of the 26 major allergens. The product is also fragrance-free so it is intended to be used by those with sensitivities to both natural and synthetic scents.
  
  If you are unsure, we recommend performing a patch test before application. Simply apply a small amount of product onto a clean area of skin on the upper forearm, following 24 hours rinse the area. If any redness, itching, blistering or irritation is observed at any time throughout the test, do not use the product.

Can the Firm Hybrid Clay be used on long hair?
- As the Firm Hybrid Clay is a dense formulation to aid hold, it is most easily distributed on short to medium length hair. We recommend using it on hair between 1-5 inches long for best results.
